    Sharing an ECU flash

I'm trying to "sell" a friend on a Shoodaben tune. I'm wondering if there is any harm in putting my ECU in his Versys form him to road test? I've offered my Versys,  same 2016 2nd Gen, but mine is setup quite differently from suspension to ergos.

The only way you'll truly know is to try it. Ergos and suspension don't matter, if his bike is set up engine - wise the same as yours it's apples to apples as far as the ECU is concerned. BTW... both will need the same part number or you'll get a CEL for emission controls.

Has he tried riding your bike, or is this an issue of the setups being so different he would be overwhelmed with all the differences and not be able to concentrate on the smoothness and throttle control afforded by the flash?

Thank you for your insights Steve. I was hoping you'd chime in with your expertise. He'll just have to ride mine as I don't want to go through the monkey motions to get rid of the CEL.
