I promised a bit of an update...........

Having now covered around 900 miles since getting my new bike on 1st September I can report that I am very, very pleased  with the bike

I mainly ride on smaller countryside roads and frequently in the company of my good mate Geoff (100milesaway of this parish) he also has a Versys 650 and covers more miles than I do

I really can't fault the 650, yes it has less power than my previous bikes but that really isn't proving to be an issue, it does mean that overtaking or negotiating tight bends requires a change down of gears, but what's difficult about that ?  the bike is plenty fast enough for my needs and because it is lighter it is more manageable on the road and definitely easier to 'push' around, the bike looks great and draws admiring looks wherever it goes, plus it has KTC and a TFT screen with all the info needed

    I'm a happy bunny   :001: :001:

I'll make my decision next year if I'm going to get something smaller, the 650 it a definitely an option.
