Hello! Nearly bought a Versys a couple years ago, but none were in my area. Ended up going with a Triumph Tiger Rally. Now I’ve sold that bike and bought a Versys.
Been riding for 22 years, but haven’t traveled near as many miles as I’d like. Hoping to put quite a few on with the new bike.
Others have been… ‘89 Yamaha FZR600, 2000 Suzuki Bandit 600, ‘02 and ‘04 Yamaha FZ1 (sold the ‘04 6 years ago and recently bought it back!
), ‘15 Yamaha FZ09, ‘16 BMW S1000R, ‘16 BMW R1200GS, and the ‘20 Triumph Tiger Rally. 🍻

Welcome from Kansas City area. You're in great riding territory for a Versys.

Got some more mileage racked up for the break-in. Getting higher in the rpm range makes the bike much more fun!

So what were your thoughts on the Tiger Rally?

Overall it was a great bike. The triple was plenty preppy, smooth transmission, and fairly comfortable. For trips more than a few hours I think you’d definitely need a better seat…
I just never got into the dual sport part of it. Only had it on-road. And with the bike being so tall (33.5” seat height) it made me uncomfortable on the twisty roads.
